Proposal to Revitalize Harlem Business District in Albany

One commission is considering a proposal to revitalize a forgotten black historic district in Dougherty County.

During the Tuesday morning Albany Commission work session, a proposal to revitalize Albany’s historic Harlem Business District was presented to the commission.

Lula Davis, an Albany native presented the proposal along with a list of forgotten black businesses that use to thrive in a district south of Oglethorpe Boulevard.
